These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GuidedEchos website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. User Content
GuidedEchos allows you to upload, create, record, store, and share audio, video, images, text, and other materials ("Content") relating to your family stories and memories. You retain ownership of your Content, but you grant GuidedEchos a limited license to host and process your Content for the purpose of providing the Service to you and those you authorize.
You are solely responsible for the Content you upload or otherwise make available through the Service and for ensuring you have all necessary rights to that Content.
2. Prohibited Content
You agree that you will not upload, store, transmit, create, record, or otherwise make available through the Service any Content that:
2.1 Illegal Content
Content that violates any applicable law or regulation, including but not limited to:
- Child sexual abuse material or exploitation
- Human trafficking or exploitation
- Threats of harm or violence
- Non-consensual intimate imagery
- Copyright-infringing or otherwise unauthorized content
2.2 Harmful or Highly Inappropriate Content
Content that depicts, promotes, or contains:
- Pornographic or explicit sexual activity
- Graphic violence, gore, or physical injury
- Hate speech, harassment, or abusive conduct
- Self-harm, suicide, or instructions for harming oneself or others
- Malware, malicious code, or harmful files
2.3 Fraudulent or Deceptive Content
Content that is fraudulent, deceptive, or intended to mislead, including:
- Impersonation of any person or entity
- Scams, fraudulent schemes, or deceptive practices
- Misrepresentation of identity or affiliation
2.4 Content Unrelated to the Purpose of GuidedEchos
Content that is not aligned with the purpose of GuidedEchos, including but not limited to:
- Commercial advertisements or promotional campaigns
- Political campaigns or propaganda
- Bulk or unrelated file storage unrelated to family history or memory preservation
3. Monitoring and Review
GuidedEchos does not routinely monitor, access, or review all user-generated Content. We respect the privacy of our users and the families they represent. However, you acknowledge and agree that GuidedEchos may:
- Review Content that is reported by a user as potentially violating these Terms;
- Review Content that is flagged by automated systems as potentially violating these Terms or applicable law;
- Review and disclose Content as needed to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
GuidedEchos may temporarily restrict, disable, or remove Content while it is under review. Only authorized personnel may access such Content for these purposes, and such access may be logged for accountability.
4. Enforcement Actions
If GuidedEchos determines, in its sole discretion, that Content violates these Terms or applicable law, GuidedEchos may take one or more of the following actions without prior notice:
- Remove or disable access to the Content
- Issue a warning to the account holder
- Suspend or terminate the user’s account
- Restrict the user’s ability to upload or share additional Content
- Report the Content and related information to law enforcement or appropriate agencies where legally required
- Preserve records and information associated with the violation as required by law
You agree that GuidedEchos will not be liable for any actions taken in good faith to enforce these Terms or to comply with legal obligations.
5. Reporting Violations
Users may report Content that they believe violates these Terms or is otherwise unsafe or inappropriate. Reports can be submitted via any in-app or website reporting tools or by emailing:

GuidedEchos will review such reports within a reasonable time and may take appropriate action as outlined in these Terms.
6. Changes to These Terms
GuidedEchos may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, legal requirements, or other operational needs. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
